How to Change the Blade on Your Razor APX
The Razor APX uses Outdoor Edge's RazorSafe® push-button blade change system — no tools, and under 10 seconds.
- Open the knife fully and lock the blade in the open position so the blade holder is exposed before starting.
- Locate the blade release button on the handle, near the pivot.
- Press and hold the release button while sliding the blade forward and out of the holder.
- Wrap the used blade in tape or use the original packaging before discarding.
- Slide a new 3.0" blade in from the front, aligning the tabs with the channel. Press until it clicks into the locked position.
- Deploy the blade fully and apply light lateral pressure to confirm the blade is seated securely before use.
Safety: always point the knife away from your body during blade changes.

Love everything about this knife! I know they are trying to make as light as possible, but it would have been nice if it came with a kydex sheath to belt carry. Hopefully in the future. I just keep in my pack for now.
There's no sheath to carry the knife in, and the blade cover won't fit over the saw blade. I don't know what I'm going to do with this knife, but there's no way I can carry it anywhere. Maybe I'll stick it in my car's glove box. It's completely useless as an EDC knife, and I can't even put it on my belt when I'm hunting. It was a complete waste of money.
they were Christmas gifts for my 2 oldest sons, hopefully we'll see how they are in January, archery Javelina hunt.
I've been using the folding version of the razor knife for a couple of years now. I love how good they work and how easy blade changes are. But, sometimes a folder can be inconvenient to deploy and cleanup after use can be a chore as with all folders. So when you came out with the fixed blade version I was thrilled. All the benefits of the original razor knife with easier cleanup and deployment. Also the onboard blade storage and the ability to lighten the weight are awesome features.
Shot a very large cow about 1.5 miles from a road. I couldn't carry meat and bone out, so I used your knife to debone the elk in less than 3 hours. Had to use several of the replacement blades as they got dull . The knife was amazing. Small enough for me to control, strong enough to cut what needed to be cut, and durable for the entire animal. Well done!

When I first saw this, I wanted one immediately. It is Outdoor Edge quality through and through. Met all of my expectations. I will agree with a previous review that the only thing that is lacking is a full length sheath with a clip or belt loop/clip. That is not going to lower my rating or review. But with a sheath, it would put this product over the top. If you are thinking about getting this knife, don’t hesitate. Hunting season is upon us.
Should have a sheath to make carrying the knife easy while hunting.
